Bollywood’s best jodi Turned Into Ash Last Year… I am not talking about Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan but actually the dynamic duo Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan who as everyone knows parted ways due to creative differences. A nice way to say, yeah not interested in working with you because I am better than you.

The belief that nothing remains the same should make sense to Bollywood. One of the thickest bonds in Bollywood with blockbuster films like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan have recently gone down the drain. What was the reason behind this infamous Khan split?

Our sources found the reason behind the split of this extraordinary duo. It was known that Farah was keen on casting Shah Rukh in Tees Maar Khan but because Shahrukh could not find time and Farah could not afford to wait forever and finally decided to cast Akshay in the film. It seems this did not go down too well with SRK and Farah had to bear the repercussions.

Farah went to SRK to make him aware of her interest in remaking the old blockbuster Satte Pe Satta which failed to interest SRK. After hearing Farah for a while, SRK finally said a firm ‘no’ and showcased his disinterest in the film. Farah had already approached Raj Sippy’s son Mintoo to buy the copyrights of the film and he willingly accepted the proposal. Shahrukh reasoned saying that he did not want to do a remake of Mr. Bachchan’s film to which Farah retaliated saying that he had done the remake of Don. Shahrukh did not really like this reaction and the conversation ended calmly with Farah leaving his company.

King Khan has also refused to do Shirish Kunder’s film and showed disinterest in ‘The Zoya Factor’ based on a novel by Anuj Chauhan which Shirish was suppose to direct for his production house. This news will definitely be disappointing for the audiences who loved watching the dynamic duo together!

Lets just say that Shah Rukh Khan may be have also got jealous that Farah Khan found a man with Shirish and SRK no longer had his bestie!

Sleazers you heard me correct. It seems like Amitabh Bachchan was in a duty free shop at a Malaysian Airport when a passerby saw him and told him, ” Hello Mr. Shah Rukh Khan…” How can you mistake Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, they don’t even look alike.

The Big B is still trying hard how to take the incident. “I am still debating in my head whether I should take this as a compliment or not. For the official to find absolute dedication in his name giving, sends me a healthy feeling. I shall remain with it before our electronic medium takes this over and builds it into a storm,” he added.

If I was the Big B I would be happy if someone called me someone that is a generation younger than I am.

Lets compare these two and let me know what you think. I just don’t know how anyone can mistake the two for each other??? It must be the quality of the pirated copy of the dvd prints in Malaysia….

Many people already know Salman Khan has finally joined the enchanting world of Twitter in response to an impostor claiming to be the Bollywood superstar. Salman’s very first tweeted read something along the lines of ,”whoever was being me… party over,” and therefore took his rightful place on my (and many others’) exclusive list of ‘followees’.

It now seems that Salman has also delivered a small blow to the ego of his fellow Bollywood star, Shahrukh Khan. Not only did Salman match the number of followers Shahrukh had on his first day of Twitter, but he also received over 8,000 more additional followers than Shahrukh after each had posted their first tweets. Has Salman slowly overshadowed his #1 rival?

Although the facts are pretty impressive for Salman, I would still insist that the actor has a bit more to go before reaching the status of Shahrukh. The numbers in my opinion are a bit skewed due to the mere fact that there are many more users on Twitter when Salman joined than there were 100 days previous, when Shahrukh joined. That said, Salman has proven he can hold his own on and off screen, and has always provided some competition to the King. So good job on joining Twitter Salman, I will be looking forward to see what’s to come next.

Recent stories surrounding Shahrukh Khan have indicated that the King of Bollywood is a little dissatisfied with the lack of global audiences that are exposed to his industry’s films, and suggests that the Indian film business should be more like Hollywood.

Just last Tuesday, SRK was quoted saying, “the sooner Indian filmmakers realize that screenplay is not an art form but a science, the faster Indian movies will globalize and Hollywood can exchange that know-how with India”.

Just after that story was published Shahrukh assured that it is Hollywood’s business sense and not their financial situations that India should follow, ”speech was on mumbai to melrose…hollywood & bollywood. i believe we need their know how to make indian films global, not their money” SRK tweeted.

You really can’t blame the actor for wanting to make this transition; I’m sure he’d rather have the same kind of recognition and respect for his talents as Brad Pitt or George Clooney, but I doubt he’d mind their salaries too.

Ranbir Kapoor told reporters today that he happy to be able to replace big named actors such as Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in advertisements concerning Pepsi and John Players.

Ranbir underplays the situation and claims there is no replacing an icon such as Shahrukh, and also shares a huge respect for the styling of Hrithik.

“I believe that I am fortunate enough to get a chance to take their legacies forward’” Ranbir explained. One must show some admiration towards the fact that Ranbir has graciously given so much respect to those who paved the way for him, but I’d like to see a bit more confidence in him.

It is one thing to have respect for a pioneer and to be grateful for the contributions that person provided, but to say someone is irreplaceable is an excuse not to be great. The humble attitude is appreciated Ranbir, but it’s time to prove you can replace the King.

Shahrukh Chooses Nothing but Mediocre Films

Now to say this to the King of Bollywood you’d better think twice, but this lady definitely didn’t. I know i know, the millions of Shah Rukh Fans out there like myself are wanting to hear that name and officially blacklist the culprit, but you’d be surprised at her identity.

The award winning editor Deepa Bhatia whose most recent work includes SRK’s very own ‘My Name is Khan‘ questioned the actors decision to always act in mediocre films. Deepa, whose work has been recognized and appreciated for films like ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and ‘Rock On‘ admits that she isn’t a Shah Rukh Fan and doesn’t understand the Badshah’s decision to pick nothing but average films.

Umm HELLO have you seen ‘Devdas‘, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham‘, ‘Veer Zaara’, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho‘ and who can forget the legendary ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge‘ which is still the longest running film in theatres to date.  And did you realize every year almost every award show Shahrukh Khan is not only nominated but also walks away with the Best Actor award! Well Deepa, say what you’d like but I’m sure your little peeps won’t affect the status of the King Khan, nor our undying love for his films. (Oh yes and how can I forget our never ending obsession with “Raj” and “Rahul”) Now that’s anything but average!

Priyanka Chopra Can't Afford to Buy Something??!!

So you all must be really shocked just reading the headline, Priyanka Chopra not able to afford something. I mean is it really possible?? Its like saying Shah Rukh Khan was spotted bargaining the price of a chupel (slipper).  But yes, reality can smack anyone in the face time to time and there is one prized possession that many of Bollywood’s A-list celebs are starting to acquire like a fashion statement….you guessed it, an IPL Team.

From the King Khan, to Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty, and now add on Kareena and Saif, and Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt…the list goes on and on. But looks like the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra will not be adding her name to this prestigious list anytime soon.

The superstar who was out promoting the DLF IPL screenings at movie theatres across India blatantly admitted that she ” Can’t Afford an IPL Team!” Yes she did laugh while making the statement (and I’m sure many of us at home are laughing too), but yes Priyanka Chopra actually can’t afford everything. Surprising we must say, considering shes charging double digit crores for every film shes doing, and not to mention the countless brands and ads shes graces with her pretty little face. Well only time will tell how long we’ll have to wait to see Priyanka cheering on her team in the stands…we think, not very long at all.

My Name is Khan, the film staring Shahrukh Khan and directed by Karan Johar, flourished in ticket sales the week of its release, but has since seen a bit of a decline in the number of viewers than expected. 

It could be the familiar story-line or the less than extraordinary acting in the film, but the reviews have been mixed. Today, however, MNIK releases in Syria and Jordan. 

Both Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar seem to be extremely optimistic to the event, and both have sent tweets over the past 24-hours for their fans to see regarding the films release. 

And while letting fans know about the MNIK release, Shahrukh also describes how excited he is for the American mainstream version. It is admirable for a creator to back his product, but I think the expectations of My Name is Khan exceed the film’s potential.

Shah Rukh Khan Throws a Huge Bash for R & B Singer Akon

Shah Rukh Khan played host for the popular American singer and songwriter Akon at Mumbai’s JW Marriot Hotel. The duo met in Los Angeles when Shah Rukh brilliantly decided that he wanted to incorporate Akon into his next film Ra 1. Akon will not only be heard in this multi-starrer film, he’s also going to be a part of the cast.

So to celebrate yet another collaboration of Hollywood and Bollywood, Shah Rukh invited Akon out to Mumbai as his personal guest.  And Akon was more then happy to accept the Khan’s invitation as he says “I am a big fan of Shah Rukh’s. I’m very familiar with Shah Rukh’s work”. Akon also mentioned that Indian audiences will definitely be seeing a lot more of him as he is planning a portion of his world tour in India and plans to work closely with a lot more Indian directors.

He feels that Indian and African culture have quite a few similarities. “You know the tradition in Africa is not different from India. There is the same type of entertainment going on, the difference is only in language. I always wanted to expand my horizon, explore and enjoy,” said Akon. Oh and we’re sure he’s enjoying, after he met the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor, whose playing the lead heroine in the film, Akon dedicated two lines of his hit single “Beautiful” to her. Well we really hope that these two huge entertainment industries continue to come together and create magic.

The highly anticipated production of Shah Rukh Khan‘s next film will begin this month. Ra1, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor will be Bollywood’s version of American superhero films such as Spiderman and Superman. The film is said to have some daredevil stunts, and this will be the first time Shah Rukh Khan performs his own stunts in a film.

There were talks about making the film in English, but Khan, who is producing the film, nixed the idea. The guy is spending 100 crore rupees on this movie…. meaning, what King Khan says goes.

It seems like the Bollywood and Hollywood collaborations are heating up. Award winning producer Akon has been roped into SRK‘s new film RA 1 which will begin filming later this month in Miami.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha (Tum Bin), science-fiction superhero hi-tech film Ra.1 is written by David Benullo (Shadow Man), cinematography by Ueli Steiger (The Maiden Heist), and music by Vishal-Shekhar. Besides Shahrukh, it also reportedly stars Filmfare winners Kareena Kapoor (Jab We Met) and Vivek Oberoi (Company).

Shahrukh reportedly plays a Miami software engineer Shekhar in the film, who as a video-game hero takes on his self-created techno-monster Ra.1. Shooting locations include Miami (Florida, USA) and Shahrukh’s wife Gauri Khan (Billu) is the producer.

It is rumored that film has a production value of one hundred crores.

Shah Rukh Khan‘s new name should be the King of Controversy. It looks like now he has angered Muslims, I mean the guy wants to be hated from all different backgrounds of people. For the last two weeks it was hardcore Hindus, this week its the Muslim’s issuing Fatwas against him and his link up with Luz Cozi. It looks like he roped in a deal to be sponsored by Lux Cozi and also made a deal to include his IPL team in Kolkata. It seems like the owners of this company drove their daughters husband who happened to be Muslim.

Syed Noor-ur-Rehman Barkati, Shahi Imam of Tipu Sultan Mosque in Kolkatta talking about SRK’s association with Lux Cozi said, “He has lots of money. Why is he becoming the brand ambassador of a company owned by such a controversial man? I am issuing a fatwa to all Hindus and Muslims to boycott the movie.”

It seems like Luz Cozi is pulling all the ads, and any sort of SRK branded clothing off also as King Khan has gotten over this blunder.
