Bollywood’s best jodi Turned Into Ash Last Year… I am not talking about Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan but actually the dynamic duo Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan who as everyone knows parted ways due to creative differences. A nice way to say, yeah not interested in working with you because I am better than you.

The belief that nothing remains the same should make sense to Bollywood. One of the thickest bonds in Bollywood with blockbuster films like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan have recently gone down the drain. What was the reason behind this infamous Khan split?

Our sources found the reason behind the split of this extraordinary duo. It was known that Farah was keen on casting Shah Rukh in Tees Maar Khan but because Shahrukh could not find time and Farah could not afford to wait forever and finally decided to cast Akshay in the film. It seems this did not go down too well with SRK and Farah had to bear the repercussions.

Farah went to SRK to make him aware of her interest in remaking the old blockbuster Satte Pe Satta which failed to interest SRK. After hearing Farah for a while, SRK finally said a firm ‘no’ and showcased his disinterest in the film. Farah had already approached Raj Sippy’s son Mintoo to buy the copyrights of the film and he willingly accepted the proposal. Shahrukh reasoned saying that he did not want to do a remake of Mr. Bachchan’s film to which Farah retaliated saying that he had done the remake of Don. Shahrukh did not really like this reaction and the conversation ended calmly with Farah leaving his company.

King Khan has also refused to do Shirish Kunder’s film and showed disinterest in ‘The Zoya Factor’ based on a novel by Anuj Chauhan which Shirish was suppose to direct for his production house. This news will definitely be disappointing for the audiences who loved watching the dynamic duo together!

Lets just say that Shah Rukh Khan may be have also got jealous that Farah Khan found a man with Shirish and SRK no longer had his bestie!

The last time Karan Johar visited Los Angeles he was filming for his highly anticipated ‘My Name is Khan’ film. The film received mixed reviews probably due to the high expectations thanks to huge stars Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.

Karan is now back in southern California and has tweeted about the emotion he is experiencing being back in the city where his vision became reality. “Landed in LA….shot MNIK here for 2 months…thinking off all the tough and elevating days,” Karan said.

 It’s pretty apparent that the director/producer is back to lay ground for an upcoming film, but after receiving such uncertain feedback in his last film Karan needs to make a statement.

Shahrukh Khan has been a part of many on-screen romances, and the king of bollywood seems to be very comfortable with his sexuality. A deleted scene had been released from ‘My Name Is Khan,’ which included a shot of Shahrukh smooching with another male actor.

Not to worry ladies the  actor has not changed his sexual orientation, in fact the awkward expression that is plastered on his face as the two locked lips shows just how uncomfortable the actor was with the scene. And lets not forget that it is a deleted scene so obviously others were uncertain about putting it on the big screen as well.

I personally tip my hat to the actor because I’m sure something like that is not easy to do, especially on the set of a movie where a lot of people are watching. This should not be something seen as gross or unacceptable, instead we should applaud SRK’s professionalism in the matter and dedication to his films and directors.

True it is not as ground breaking as the hollywood film, ‘Brokeback Moutain,’ where two heterosexual male actors did a sex scene with each other on film. Maybe in the future.

Just minutes ago Karan Johar posted a link, through his Twitter account, and confirmed ligitimatcy describing the link as ”My Article,” which takes the viewer to a rather interesting post on the director/producer’s blog.

The article tears into everything Karan, from his trademark pose for camerasto his hosting abilities at award shows. It even attacks Karan’s ability to write.

The odd thing was that the author of the hate piece was Karan himself. Apparently Karan has been struggling with some demons and in a somewhat poetic fashion shared those with the world.

It’s nice to see that even the some of the biggest names in entertainment display desperate attempts to fish for compliments. 

Poor Karan … ’My Name Is Khan’  wasn’t that bad; it just wasn’t original or good.

I guess what I’m trying to say is keep doing your crooked smile and mass tweeting, also it wouldn’t hurt to toss yourself a compliment every once in a while. However, if you are going to point out all your flaws might as well do it with style and for that I commend you.

Shahrukh Chooses Nothing but Mediocre Films

Now to say this to the King of Bollywood you’d better think twice, but this lady definitely didn’t. I know i know, the millions of Shah Rukh Fans out there like myself are wanting to hear that name and officially blacklist the culprit, but you’d be surprised at her identity.

The award winning editor Deepa Bhatia whose most recent work includes SRK’s very own ‘My Name is Khan‘ questioned the actors decision to always act in mediocre films. Deepa, whose work has been recognized and appreciated for films like ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and ‘Rock On‘ admits that she isn’t a Shah Rukh Fan and doesn’t understand the Badshah’s decision to pick nothing but average films.

Umm HELLO have you seen ‘Devdas‘, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham‘, ‘Veer Zaara’, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho‘ and who can forget the legendary ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge‘ which is still the longest running film in theatres to date.  And did you realize every year almost every award show Shahrukh Khan is not only nominated but also walks away with the Best Actor award! Well Deepa, say what you’d like but I’m sure your little peeps won’t affect the status of the King Khan, nor our undying love for his films. (Oh yes and how can I forget our never ending obsession with “Raj” and “Rahul”) Now that’s anything but average!

        Well it’s almost the weekend and that means “My Name Is Khan,” may get another shot at life. It started with a massive amount of hype and non stop tweets about how great this movie was going to be, and in the end I find myself to be highly disappointed with the film and would assume many others feel the same way.

            It’s no surprise to me that tickets sales for MNIK have dramatically dropped just 2 weeks after its release. The movie does attempts to touch on major issues of prejudice and discrimination. However, those attempts are quickly matched with an unstable plot, less than impressive acting from Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, and the bitter after-taste of watching a movie and thinking to yourself, ‘I’ve seen this before.’

            Did you think no one would notice Karan Johar? The movie is a story about special kid, who lives a somewhat fortuitous life, and travels the world spreading ideas of love and acceptance. I think the Hollywood films Forrest Gump and Big Fish just about sum up the general idea behind MNIK. The only difference is… those movies are original and entertaining, and MNIK was just long and boring. I think next time I’ll find something better to do when I have 2 ½ hours waste.

Shahid & Kareen Patching Up?!

Shahid & Kareena are Finally Talking all thanks to Bollywood’s Dream Team Shahrukh Khan & Karan Johar.

Bollywood’s superstar threw a  bash at Mannat to commemorate the huge success of his newest release “My Name is Khan” and Karan Johar stepped into to play peacemaker.

The award winning director made the duo stop and face one another for the first time since their break up. And the rest as they say is “history”.

The two ex flames mingled with one another throughout the night and sources say that both were in no rush to get back to their fellow friends. Should that be a red flag for Mr. Saif Ali Khan??

Well possibly…i mean yes Saif is a definite hotty but Shahid and that new found body! One word…WOW! Not to mention Saif does have quite a few aging years on Shahid…

Well we’ll just have to wait to say “The End” to the Shahid & Kareena Love Story.

Well it looks like Priyanka Chopra had a boring Valentines Day and one begs to question why? She was in Las Vegas, aka Sin City for the weekend and she is also single. She is actually in town shooting a Sajid Nadiawalla’s film Anjaana Anjaani. Las Vegas is the perfect city for spending time especially if you are single…. because anything goes. That is the beauty of Las Vegas, anyways it seems like she had a boring Valentines Day… she went to go watch My Name Is Khan.

Booooooooooooooooooooooring.

I wish I knew, I would have taken her out for Valentines Day since I had no plans…

The people have spoke, and they don’t care about Shiv Sena, politics or Shah Rukh Khan’s comments about the IPL. Let this message go to everyone who tries to get into the way of Bollywood and the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. Indians do not live in a country where politicians can oppress and dictate the people. The people of Mumbai and around the world have spoken and overwhelming have made My Name Is Khan a super blockbuster. I haven’t seen the movie but people have either been saying good things or bad things about it.

On the opening day less than 100 members of Shiv Sena were arrested in Mumbai for attempting to disrupt and vandalize theaters that were showing the film. Elsewhere in India there were protests and some cities in Rajasthan including Pune didn’t know show the film due to threat of violence from right wing politicalgroups. Estimates by Fox show that film will rake in about 10 million dollars worldwide this weekend, and will be known as the biggest Bollywood opening to date.

It looks like Aamir Khan better bring out his A-game to pull an upset on My Name Is Khan. With the other big blockbuster Kites looking like it will be delayed till May indefinitely, My Name Is Khan is set to dominate the Indian box office in the upcoming months.

Congrats to Shah Rukh Khan and the rest of the My Name Is Khan team in creating a cinematic blockbuster!

 

Kajol's Style

My Name is Khan‘s world premiere took place in Abu Dhabi earlier this week, and had its European premiere at the Berlin Film Festival on Feb 12. Kajol went with different looks at either premiere, opting for an elegant red sari by Manish Malhotra in UAE, and a sparkly anarkali, also by Manish Malhotra in Germany.

It seems like production for My Name Is Thackrey has commenced, a new film about the danger from within. Anyways with 1200 of these Shiv Sena gundas behind bars or under Mumbai Police “protective” custody, one must wonder what will happen on the opening day of the film. I am suprised the US State Department has not labeled the Shiv Sena Party as a group affiliated with terrorism. I would if I was the Secretary of State.

Shah Rukh Khan in my view is a genius, he can get the people all riled up about this movie and brings it more attention and publicity. I would like to set it straight, I am not a fan of his movies. I think they are just all about making you feel warm and fuzzy inside nothing else.

Anyways with Mumbai movie cinemas turned into fortified forts and Reserve Police and Home Guards being called in, this weekend will be interesting. Am I the only person finding that this is a complete waste of money, who are these Shiv Sena people, and what is the point of doing all this, they should be doing something positive like working in getting electricity or clean water to the villages of Maharashtra. I hope they foot the bill, bastards.

Many politicians of India should be considered terrorists and gundas and I think My Name Is Thackrey would be an interesting film that exposes how gunda activity and terrorizing people go hand-in-hand in India orchestrated by politicians.

I think the Shiv Sena group represent Taliban like ideals and are trying to press them on Indians, and by Indians I mean Hindu Indians.
