Salman Khan Smoking

Salman Khan has been advised to stop smoking after being hospitalized for smoke congestion. The actor was on the set of his upcoming film Dabanng, when a fire on set caused him pain and discomfort. He was then rushed to a hospital in Wai, Maharastra. Doctors say the incident could have been avoided if Salman Khan didn’t smoke so much.

Salman Khan has tried and failed to quit cigarettes in the past. Let’s see if his attempt to quit works this time…. maybe he should try a patch or gum.

Katrina-Aishwarya Comparison

Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai‘s battle for brand endorsement continues… Katrina Kaif has been named the new face of Lux, endorsing Lux Purple Lotus and Cream soap, ousting another Lux girl-Aishwarya Rai. Lux felt that the next generation of women in India prefer to look at Katrina Kaif, as Ash is aging and no longer has a lot of hype around her image.

Comparisons between the two actresses continue as there has been a lot of buzz around the amount of money each actress earns at the box office. Katrina Kaif’s movies have been hits, and Ash no longer carries the same box office potential she used to.

It seems like the Bollywood and Hollywood collaborations are heating up. Award winning producer Akon has been roped into SRK‘s new film RA 1 which will begin filming later this month in Miami.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha (Tum Bin), science-fiction superhero hi-tech film Ra.1 is written by David Benullo (Shadow Man), cinematography by Ueli Steiger (The Maiden Heist), and music by Vishal-Shekhar. Besides Shahrukh, it also reportedly stars Filmfare winners Kareena Kapoor (Jab We Met) and Vivek Oberoi (Company).

Shahrukh reportedly plays a Miami software engineer Shekhar in the film, who as a video-game hero takes on his self-created techno-monster Ra.1. Shooting locations include Miami (Florida, USA) and Shahrukh’s wife Gauri Khan (Billu) is the producer.

It is rumored that film has a production value of one hundred crores.

New Dhak Dhak Girl

Audiences were mesmerized with dancing queen Madhuri Dixit in 1992 when she danced Dhak Dhak in Beta. Fast forwarrd to 2010, Farah Khan is remaking the classic song in upcoming film Tees Maar Khan, with Katrina Kaif as the lead girl…. which prompts us to ask… Can anyone really replace Madhuri Dixit when it comes to dance??

I think not….. Especially not Katrina!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

And the Bachchan drama with the Mumbai Mirror escalates…. After the newspaper published false reports that Aishwarya Rai is barren, the Bachchan family has decided to disassociate with the paper completely. Aishwarya Rai canceled a planned appearance at an upcoming award show after learning that the Mumbai Mirror was sponsoring the event. Organizers of the award show offered the actress 85 lakhs to perform, however Aishwarya responded with: “Main nahi nachhongi no matter how strong the lure of lucre.”

The actress, who was actually suffering from stomach TB, is now demanding an apology from the Mumbai Mirror.

Prince Vivek on his Ducati

After having left the Bollywood scene in 2005, Vivek Oberoi is back!! He made his grand entrance, in the true style of a “Prince” on a 1098 yellow Ducati to a promo party releasing the music of his upcoming movie, Prince. Vivek Oberoi has a lot riding on the success of this movie, as it’s the first solo film he has done since Kisna in 2005. ““I am very excited about the film because it has something that I have never done before. I am the solo hero, so it is very important for me. I hope it would give a positive turn to my career,” he said at the music launch party.

Abhishek's Pissed at Mumbai Mirror

After the Mumbai Mirror made false reports that his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan cannot bear children, Abhishek Bachchan is livid and has renounced the paper. He put on his Twitter status: “Best part of the morning was sitting with the girls, sipping hot coffee and reading the papers. Best part? NO MUMBAI MIRROR!! Realised that we have the ultimate power. The power of choice! I choose NOT to buy or read trash!!!

Big B Somewhat Responds to Article about Aishwarya Rai       

Amitabh Bachchan shares his “deep anguish, pain, and disgust” today with his latest blog in response to a local publication in Mumbai. The article claims that the Bachchan family is becoming impatient with Aishwarya Rai for not producing a family hire by now, and that stomach tuberculosis has further delayed any chance of pregnancy. Amitabh’s response to the article was swift and concise “…not a single portion of this article is true!” He concludes by saying he is prepared to fight “…till my [Amitabh] last breath” for the purpose of protecting his “daughter” (-in-law).

Big B’s conviction makes shady journalism seem pretty apparent, but it’s hard not to wonder if there may be a little truth in the story. Aishwarya is already 37, and the older she gets to more difficult a pregnancy can become. The Bachchan’s can always just steal a page from Angelina Jolie’s book and adopt 2 or 3 kids just in case. And what about these stomach problems for Aishwarya? Are we to believe she’s 100% healthy? Why didn’t Big B address any of that?

This isn’t the first we heard of Aishwarya being sick. Big B posted on his blog Monday how Aishwarya is recovering from a “condition” that kept her from eating, and left her with a fever and soar throat. It seems that maybe a small portion of the article was true Amitabh, and it will be interesting to see what else comes from all of this. I’ll leave you with some words of wisdom for the big man; brief comments and avoiding specific facts will never work out the way you intend. Think about it!

Hollywood has a big trend in naming celeb couples with merged names. If we did that in Bollywood, we would have some really funky sounding names for talked about couples. We took it upon ourselves to come up with some celeb couple names- just for fun:

I am surprised the guy even gets married… unless the ladies fall for his munna bhai look… or his wealth or are threatened by his ties with terrorists…

Anyways it looks like Dino has broke up with his current girlfriend Nandita Mahatani and moved on to the ravishing/trainwreck Kangana Ranaut… Yes. It was said that these two were inseperable at the party and many were wondering if these two had something going on prior to the event. That being said, just because there is no media around doesn’t mean you can sleaze away, because you will be caught. And when you sleaze don’t wory Desi Sleaze will be there to cover it…
