‘We Are Family’ to be Released on Earlier Date
Bollywood producer, Karan Johar, once again shows that he has kept his ears to the buzz around the country and has decided that it would be best to move the release of his latest flick, ‘We Are Family’ from September 3 to September 2.
Although the change does not seem to be too drastic, it is an example of the precise planning of Karan in an attempt to allow the most success possible for his film. Recently it was reported that the movie was going to be released a week earlier from September 10 to September 3 so that the release would not conflict with the release of Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg‘.
However the newest date change is due to a holiday, which allows for a long weekend; therefore Karan wanted to move the date up so that those off of work that day will be able to use the time to see his movie!
The film is a remake of the Hollywood hit, ‘Stepmom’, which starred Julia Roberts and Susan Saradon. Karan’s version will star the very attractive and talented pair of Kajol and Kareena Kapoor, and promises to be a must-see film.
Shahrukh Khan’s Warning to Karan Johar
It is no secret that Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan and Bollywood producer/director Karan Johar are close friends, but the two also seem to be each other’s advisor when it comes to making movies. Sources claim that Karan will be moving the release of his film, ‘We Are Family’, up by a week due to a heavy-weighted warning from his good pal SRK.
SRK has taken interest in Karan’s film simply because of those involved (Karan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor), and noticed that the film was set to release on the same weekend as Salman Khan’s, ’Dabangg’. Having much respect for his fellow actor, SRK informed Karan that it may be in his best interest to change the release date on his movie.
Shahrukh and Salman haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but it seems that SRK knows when to concede.
The director of ‘We Are Family’ is actually Siddharth Malhotra, who also trusts in the words of King Khan, and has expressed his appreciation for the Bollywood superstar’s input on the film as a whole. “Both Karan Johar and I are very eager to show ‘We Are Family’ to Shahrukh, who proves that he is indeed part of the family,” explained Siddharth.
Kajol Receives Praises from Siddharth Malhotra
Sources say that Bollywood director Siddharth Malhotra is not a man of religion, but even he prayed to higher powers in hopes to land the signing of the beautiful Bollywood actress, Kajol!
“That’s how much I needed Kajol to do Susan Sarandon’s role from ‘Stepmom,’” claims Malhotra. However, who wouldn’t want the stunning actress to star in their film? She has been in so many great films, and has acted alongside many of the best actors in the industry!
Siddharth is extremely excited to know that the actress has finally agreed to star in his latest film, ‘We Are Family’. “Only Kajol fitted the role. If she had said no I wouldn’t have made the film,” explained the joyful director.
RANBIR & KATRINA MAKE A PROMISE TO NEETU SINGH!!!
Ranbir Kapoor & Katrina Kaif one of Bollywood’s hottest speculated couples have made news together again! Ranbir & Katrina held hands and made a promise in front of Ranbir’s mommy the beautiful Neetu Singh. And that vow?? I know, I know we all wish it was that they would remain together forever…but it is something close.
They both promised to recreate the Neetu Rishi chemistry which was one of the most sought after on screen romance in history. After Shahrukh & Kajol’s jodi, the romance between Ranbir & Katrina is loved and appreciated by thousands of fans around the globe. And Neetu Singh is no stranger to her son’s heartthrob status. So while Ranbir was on set for “Rajneeti” video chatting with his mommy dear and Katrina popped her head in to say hi, Neetu ji took up the opportunity.
She was heard saying “I and Rishi where the best during our times and today Kajol and SRK still rule the jodi land but now since Ranbir has been accepted as the new heartthrob I want both of you to give a lovely wonderful option to our new age viewers, tell me will you do?” And of course the gorgeous jodi held hands and said “Yes We Do”. Well we all know what took place after Rishi Kapoor & Neetu Singh hit the big screen…lets hope that Ranbir & Katrina follow down the same path!!! Sorry Sallu (Salman Khan), you’ll just have to find another Bollywood hotty.
KAJOL IS PREGNANT!
Shortly after wrapping up some portions of the new Hindi version of the movie StepMom, and not much after the release of My Name is Khan and an appearance at the Filmfare Awards; the latest news surrounding this Bollywood beauty is that Kajol is once again pregnant.
Insiders have said that Kajol and husband Ajay Devgan made the announcement at Ajay’s sister’s birthday celebration. Judging from the way the couple treated their first child don’t be surprised if we see very little of either once the newborn arrives.
MNIK, Massive Disappointment!
Well it’s almost the weekend and that means “My Name Is Khan,” may get another shot at life. It started with a massive amount of hype and non stop tweets about how great this movie was going to be, and in the end I find myself to be highly disappointed with the film and would assume many others feel the same way.
It’s no surprise to me that tickets sales for MNIK have dramatically dropped just 2 weeks after its release. The movie does attempts to touch on major issues of prejudice and discrimination. However, those attempts are quickly matched with an unstable plot, less than impressive acting from Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, and the bitter after-taste of watching a movie and thinking to yourself, ‘I’ve seen this before.’
Did you think no one would notice Karan Johar? The movie is a story about special kid, who lives a somewhat fortuitous life, and travels the world spreading ideas of love and acceptance. I think the Hollywood films Forrest Gump and Big Fish just about sum up the general idea behind MNIK. The only difference is… those movies are original and entertaining, and MNIK was just long and boring. I think next time I’ll find something better to do when I have 2 ½ hours waste.
SHIV SENA MISSION: FAILED. MY NAME IS KHAN IS HUGE HIT!
The people have spoke, and they don’t care about Shiv Sena, politics or Shah Rukh Khan’s comments about the IPL. Let this message go to everyone who tries to get into the way of Bollywood and the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. Indians do not live in a country where politicians can oppress and dictate the people. The people of Mumbai and around the world have spoken and overwhelming have made My Name Is Khan a super blockbuster. I haven’t seen the movie but people have either been saying good things or bad things about it.
On the opening day less than 100 members of Shiv Sena were arrested in Mumbai for attempting to disrupt and vandalize theaters that were showing the film. Elsewhere in India there were protests and some cities in Rajasthan including Pune didn’t know show the film due to threat of violence from right wing politicalgroups. Estimates by Fox show that film will rake in about 10 million dollars worldwide this weekend, and will be known as the biggest Bollywood opening to date.
It looks like Aamir Khan better bring out his A-game to pull an upset on My Name Is Khan. With the other big blockbuster Kites looking like it will be delayed till May indefinitely, My Name Is Khan is set to dominate the Indian box office in the upcoming months.
Congrats to Shah Rukh Khan and the rest of the My Name Is Khan team in creating a cinematic blockbuster!
What’s Kajol’s Best Look?
My Name is Khan‘s world premiere took place in Abu Dhabi earlier this week, and had its European premiere at the Berlin Film Festival on Feb 12. Kajol went with different looks at either premiere, opting for an elegant red sari by Manish Malhotra in UAE, and a sparkly anarkali, also by Manish Malhotra in Germany.

At that time, authorities arrest and detain Rizwan, after interpreting the visible aspects of his condition as “suspicious” behavior. After his arrest, he meets Radha (Sheetal Menon), a therapist who helps him overcome the ordeal. Rizwan then begins a journey to find and meet President Barack Obama (Christopher B.
