Vivek Oberoi was full of nothing but positive things to say about the fashion show he attended featuring designer Shiana NC.

Shiana NC is a fairly new fashion designer who specializes in saris, and her show highlights her talent by displaying 36 different ways of wearing a sari.

Apparently Vivek is a huge supporter of that particular piece of clothing as he tweeted,  ”as a guy, I think saris make a woman look so dignified and graceful, so sensuous and cultured! Saris are so perfect in how much they reveal and how much they cover…capturing a man’s imagination so beautifully!”

Maybe Vivek is on to something here! Look at this model from one of Shiana’s fashion shows!

Shahid Kapoor is another one of those younger up and comers in Bollywood who seems to have and extremely promising career. The actor is seen in his latest film along side old flame Kareena Kapoor in the film ‘Milenge Milenge’, but following the release of that movie the actor immediately went to work on his next.

‘Mausam’ is the next film that is on Shahid’s plate and he is set to be seen alongside the hott Sonam Kapoor, and the film is directed and also stars Shahid’s father, Pankaj Kapoor. It is the first film that the father and son tandem will be working together, and it also seems that Shahid is getting no special treatment when it comes to filming.

“Shot a wet in rain sequence in the super cold scottish summer body parts creaking,” tweeted Shahid about his day of shooting. Anyone familiar with Europe can tell you that Scotland and England (where the film is set to be shot in it’s entirety) are not the most ideal places for bright and sunny weather.

I looks like Shahid has a lot more cold days and creaking bones ahead of him. Maybe he should cuddle up and get to know his co-star a little more! She’s no Katrina Kaif or Kareena, but Sonam is definitely a catch! (Just ask Imran Khan)

John Abraham has been considered to be a second-rate male lead, and easily gets lost in a pool of talent when comparing him to some of Bollywood’s most relevant lead men. Despite his efforts to make himself available for new movies it seems that directors tend to over look John for actors such as Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan.

John’s long-time lover, Bipasha Basu thinks that his lack of success is steming from a lack of good exposure and publicity; and Bipasha recently vowed to help John jump start his career. And it now seems that John has taken his better-half’s advice and has decided to be in charge of all aspects that pertain to his up coming film, ‘Call Me…Dil’.

John has decided that the strategies used by Bollywood veteran Aamir Khan were the best way to boost his reputation. Therefore, John will mainly be over looking the promotional aspects of the film (i.e. publicity stills and posters).

It probably wouldn’t hurt John to let Bipasha have a say in what does or does not look good, because she always seems to know what looks good for her!

As the seduction of soccer (football) still grips the world, many of Bollywood’s biggest stars have made plans to migrate towards South Africa to catch a game or two of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Joining the King of Bollywood, will be the relatively young starImran Khan, who has also shared his plans to make it to the final match of the World Cup!

“I’m flying for the finals with friends on Friday. I’m supporting Germany,” tweeted Imran.

Salman Khan is known for his hunk-like physique, and for always playing the rough, rugged, and very manly characters in all of his films. Salman has also been popping up in the news a lot more recently with his high profile car accident, his love affair with his gorgeous ex-fling Katrina Kaif, and his numerous acts of charity involving children lately.

Salman, who is now 44-years-old, might be loosing a little bit of his edge as a believable Bollywood stud! Mahesh Manjrekar’s newest film ‘Ready’ is set to star the Bollywood actor, however, Salman will not be playing his usual role. Instead he is stepping out of his mold, and is trying to mature as an actor while playing a middle-aged family man.

The character is a widowed father of two, and has problems when one of his children prefers sports over school. Salman seem to fit perfectly into the role due to his experience with his own father and their bumpy relationship.  Though it is sad that Salman is making that step into old age (both on and off the screen), it is really refreshing to see him stepping up to the challenge of redefining his strengths as an actor.

Although it is coming close to the end, the 2010 FIFA World Cup is still going on and is still a lot of the buzz amongst some of the biggest names in Bollywood. Shahrukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan have already made their interest in the tournament known, and now fellow Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is joining the fun.

Shahid has apparently been receiving many questions on Twitter asking about who he is supporting in the World cup, and today Shahid finally let his allegiance known. “For all those asking Brazil and Argentina are my favorites … Argentina a little more,” explained Shahid.

Although Shahid is shocking no one by backing Brazil, his pick of Argentina is very refreshing as opposed to all the banwagon fans that seem to now support Brazil and Spain.

Brazil has a very difficult test set for Saturday as they will face the “Flying Dutchmen” of the Netherlands, whereas, Argentina will also be facing a fierce opponent in the extremely impressive German squad. It seems that Shahid will be undergoing a world of emotions as his teams take the field in the next two days.

Saif Ali Khan is starting to surface more and more in the film industry again. It seems as though it has been forever since the Bollywood actor has been in a highly publisized film, but according the sources Saif is hopeing to change that and will do what it takes to fit the roles that are asked of him. That includes changing some of his physical attributes.

Apparently the actor has been serious about hitting the gym, and has come up with huge results. Saif will be portraying a spy in his newest home production, and has gone for the Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) look from the ‘Bourne Trilogy’. The new look may also have something to do with rumors of Hollywood directors looking for the opportunity to work with the actor. Some say that Saif is being looked at to play in the newest X-Men movie.

It seems as though Saif has made a very beneficial decision as the look proves to be popular amongst the ladies. “Saif has never looked cooler. He has lost nine kilos in three months. He’s all toned and rippling muscles,” explained Bollywood actress and colleague Kareena Kapoor. She also adds that the actor has cut his long hair, and looks very dashing with the shorter cut.

The gorgeous actress Bipasha Basu has never had a problem with getting some media attention. The actress enjoys the spotlight and relishes any chance she can get to expose her amazing beauty and body!

Now it is not secret that Bipasha and hunky make actor John Abraham are romantically involved with one another, and it seems that once again opposites attract. Unlike Bipasha, John is not a big fan of the media, and has a very hard time finding himself in the spotlight because of it. Unfortunately for John, his film career has not been all that successful and his girlfriend easily outshines the Bollywood hunk in the industry.

Bipasha thinks that if John would just embrace the media that he will find more success in all aspects of his career, and it seems that she has taken the initiative in that area. Bipasha is attempting to get her lover more used to the media and will be focusing her own time and effort in order to ensure that.

As alwaysBollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan (Big B), found another reason to speak his mind on an issue that hardly involves him. Big B did not hesitate to make his thoughts known after his son’s latest film release, ‘Ravaan’.

Apparently Big B was not happy with the way the movie was edited, and believed that certain vital scenes were left out of the final product. “”Lot of merited film edited out, causing inconsistent performance and narrative. Abhishek`s erratic behavior was due to symbolic 10 heads visually appearing and each giving him different attitudes to adopt for a situation, he would then finally shake them off and decide,” blasted Amitabh on Twitter.

He goes on to explain that the final product excludes the “heads” and only shows his son with an unflattering look of confusion, ”It`s sad, in the edit you only see the after effect of that thinking process, hence inconsistent. In the edit all the visual heads got cut and you see a confused Beera expression and wonder why?(sic).”

Big B just can’t help himself, even movies starring his dear son and daughter-in-law is not safe from this man’s insane scrutiny. We’re still wondering when the next time Big B will get in front of the camera himself again.

It was not too long ago that Sonam Kapoor was quoted stating that her co-star in her latest film, ‘I Hate Luv Stories,’ was not her “ideal man”. Imran Khan, who happens to be the co-star Sonam was referring to, simply shrugged aside the comment. However, it seems now he has gotten some revenge!

As the off-screen friendship between Sonam and Imran continues to flourish, the two have become known to poke fun at one another. And on this occasion Imran took the opportunity to attack the fashion styles worn by his colleague. Imran compares the actresses purses to suitcases, and explains that her bags are far too over-sized.

Sonam is aware of the comment, and has taken it in good humor, however, the real story is the love brewing under the friendship. This type of behavior is seen on school yards all over, when boys tease or pick on the girls they like and vice-versa. I predict we’ll be getting a little more intimate with stories about these two in the very near future!

Bollywood filmmakers, Anurag Basu and Imtiaz Ali, have always been pretty close pals, and have competed in the same industry in relative harmony over the past few years. However, it now seems that Anurag has become extremely irritated with his colleague and it’s all over actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir has been awaiting to work with the talented director Imtiaz, however, Imtiaz has been struggling with picking the rest of the cast for his movie with Ranbir, ‘Rockstar’. The problem happens to be that Anurag is also waiting to work with Ranbir, but made an agreement to wait until after Imtiaz finishes his film. However, now Anurag must wait longer than anticipated because Imtiaz has delayed the shooting of his film for so long.

Anurag is anxiously waiting to get back behind the camera in order to get the bad taste his latest flop, ‘Kites’, has produced in his mouth, and therefore he continues to grow annoyed with Imtiaz due to the situation with his leading actor.

Akshay Kumar is a huge name in the Bollywood film industry. He is amongst the most popular male actors, and also is one of the most expensive actors in India. And it now seems that the superstar is content with his current success and fame in his home country and doesn’t wish to travel west to America at all.

Akshay tells sources that he has been offered a few different roles in Hollywood films, some large parts and others are smaller ones, however his answer to those offers is always ‘no’. Akshay says that he is comfortable with his audiences and fans in India and does not see himself being happy if he were to move to Hollywood.

Akshay is currently awaiting the release of his newest film, ‘Khatta Meetha’, and explains how the character he plays in the movie is a good fit for what it is he likes to do.  ”I feel comfortable playing both action and comic roles. I can perform anything but comedy is the toughest as it is very difficult to make somebody laugh. But I enjoy doing something challenging. ‘Khatta Meetha’ is my best comedy film,” he explained.

Though Akshay has had a fantastic career in Bollywood, it seems as though the actor is somewhat intimidated by a challenge like Hollywood. The scripts have a little more flash and controversy and the audiences are not always easy to impress, so it’s easy to see how a traditional Bollywood actor like Akshay would be afraid of making that kind of change. It’s just a shame that actors will hide behind their success as an excuse for not venturing onto bigger and better challenges. Oh well! I’m sure someone will have the courage eventually.
