Apparently being every one’s eye candy is less satisfying than most people may think. According to reports, Bollywoood actress Bipasha Basu is no longer interested in playing the glamour-girl roles. Instead, the actress would like to focus on roles that she considers “real”.

Bipasha will be playing such a role in her upcoming flick ‘Aakrosh’, which issue-based film focusing on honour killings. “For me, the interesting part of doing `Aakrosh` was to see how far I can get away from my glamorous image. I discovered it was easy for me to do real characters,” explained the actress.

Not only does Bipasha want the less glamorous roles, but she also seems to think that stars should be doing issue-based films for free in order to make them more “commercially viable”.

“When a mainstream actor does a film on a social cause, it should be done free of cost as a sign of commitment to society,” she claims. Although the idea seems noble in theory, I really think this call to stars to work for free will fall of deaf ears.

I guess we’ll see if Bipasha can lead by example with her upcoming film, but if she doesn’t work for free on the film it will definitely effect her credibility!

Rumor has it that Bipasha Basu will be linking up with her seemingly favorite movie producer yet again; after the duo has has proven to be successful in movies such as ‘Raaz’ and ‘Jism’.

Bollywood producer, Mukesh Bhatt, has decided to make a sequel to the popular film, by Anurag Basu and starring Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat, ‘Murder’. The film caught the eye of most audiences and is undoubtedly most noted for the numerous sex scenes.

Bipasha will be replacing Mallika as the leading lady, and will work with Emraan for the first time in their careers. Neither star seems to be shy about showing their sexual sides, and I’m sure the director will feel the same. 

John Abraham should be a little worried, being that it is almost impossible to make this sequel without a sex scene or two.

Bipasha Basu might be bitten by the jealousy bug as she will watch her man, John Abraham, be romantic in yet another film with Bollywood beauty, Katrina Kaif.

The two first paired up in the film, ‘New York,’ and they showed just about as much chemistry as John has ever shown in any of his films, and then the pair are set to tackle ‘Dostana 2′.

Now Bipasha will likely be a little upset to hear that her hunky boyfriend will be romancing arguablly Bollywood’s most attractive commodity in a third film!

However, this may be a great move for John, even though Katrina’s movies have not been the best as of late; her looks alone will most-likely draw large crowds. And don’t forget that most women find John pretty attractive as well.

Today on Twitter Karan Johar posted this photo of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan with the caption of ‘The Glamorous Couple’. No doubt that the Bollywood filmmaker was just being descriptive of a nice snap shot, but the post made me think of who would be Bollywood’s most “Glamorous Couple”.

It would have to involve a duo who are both involved in the industry, are successful at their craft, and popularity is always a plus; marriage is another point-getter, but not necessary. So what couple would I choose?

One obvious couple would be Shahrukh Khan and wife Gauri! Shahrukh is arguably the biggest name in Bollywood and though his wife is not as well known, Gauri does do a significant amount of work behind the scenes of films.

Then there are the sexy couples like Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, however, John is not match for the likes of SRK, and although Bipasha is amazing in so many ways it is not enough for me to name them most glamorous. One could also argue Katrina Kaif and whoever she is with at the moment, but I think the glamorous couple should be a little more sturdy.

Finally as most might have already guessed, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan would most definitely be my choice. No offense to any of the previously mentioned couples, but these two are not only successful as a couple, but as seperate individuals as well!

John Abraham has been considered to be a second-rate male lead, and easily gets lost in a pool of talent when comparing him to some of Bollywood’s most relevant lead men. Despite his efforts to make himself available for new movies it seems that directors tend to over look John for actors such as Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan.

John’s long-time lover, Bipasha Basu thinks that his lack of success is steming from a lack of good exposure and publicity; and Bipasha recently vowed to help John jump start his career. And it now seems that John has taken his better-half’s advice and has decided to be in charge of all aspects that pertain to his up coming film, ‘Call Me…Dil’.

John has decided that the strategies used by Bollywood veteran Aamir Khan were the best way to boost his reputation. Therefore, John will mainly be over looking the promotional aspects of the film (i.e. publicity stills and posters).

It probably wouldn’t hurt John to let Bipasha have a say in what does or does not look good, because she always seems to know what looks good for her!

The gorgeous actress Bipasha Basu has never had a problem with getting some media attention. The actress enjoys the spotlight and relishes any chance she can get to expose her amazing beauty and body!

Now it is not secret that Bipasha and hunky make actor John Abraham are romantically involved with one another, and it seems that once again opposites attract. Unlike Bipasha, John is not a big fan of the media, and has a very hard time finding himself in the spotlight because of it. Unfortunately for John, his film career has not been all that successful and his girlfriend easily outshines the Bollywood hunk in the industry.

Bipasha thinks that if John would just embrace the media that he will find more success in all aspects of his career, and it seems that she has taken the initiative in that area. Bipasha is attempting to get her lover more used to the media and will be focusing her own time and effort in order to ensure that.

As mentioned recently, there has been rumors of avideo of Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu topless on YouTube. The video is an ad made back in Bipasha’s modeling days, and was made for the International market.

The ad depicts Bipasha as a bride getting ready for her wedding, and her husband to be in the commercial is none other than Vivek Oberoi. Bipasha claims that she never saw the ad due to a lack of monitors on the set of the shoot.

However, the actress expresses her satisfaction with her body, and the way it appeared in the video. “It is a beautiful ad and I look great in it. It’s neither sleazy nor a porn. I am proud of the way I look in it,” explained Bipasha. I don’t think anyone who sees it can disagree. So check it out!

It seems as though Bipasha Basu has pushed the limits of sexy yet again. The model/actress is known for her suggestive scenes, public kisses and sexual context, and it seems as though she has reveal a bit more on the world wide web.

Reports claim that the actress can be seen topless in an Indian commercial found on YouTube. The clip is said be directed by Ken Nahoum and co-starring Vivek Oberoi. The clip is not a recent video, in fact, it is considered to be one of her earliest jobs as she tried to break into the modeling industry.

Vivek has not been able to respond to the rumors of the clip, however Bipasha’s manager admits that it was an ad done in 1999, and was meant for an international market. It is odd that an old clip such as this one finally came to every one’s attention; maybe Bipasha leaked it herself in hopes to raise awareness to just how hot she really is.

I’m in such a sleazy mood right now! Today’s top story from yours truly is called, “Kash Rab Ne Nahi Bana Di Jodi,” which means, “Gosh…if only God didn’t make that couple.”

Ouch! Sounds pretty harsh, eh?! Well, trust me, it’s not as bad as I’d like it to be Just keep on reading and you’ll know what I mean Though 2009 has ended, we’re still pondering at why certain movies were made. With that said, here’s a list of the worst couples (on-screen) from Bollywood. Trust me, after their movies (more than bombed at the cinemas) were released, producers need to think twice before placing them together on screen! Some of my choices, well, they may seem harsh, but sorry…the truth hurts! Of course we have our couples, but we’ll save that for another place and time…not a Bollywood sleaze site!

Couple #1: Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh – Aa Dekhen Zara
Bipasha Basu is one hell of a woman. I mean look at her…she’s DROP DEAD GORGEOUS…and that’s coming from me, a girl! The last thing you need is to pair her up with someone who isn’t as hot as her! No comment…

Couple #2: Govinda and Sushmita Sen – Do Knot Disturb
David Dhawan didn’t learn from Kyunki Main Jooth Nahi Bolta. Sushmita Sen was an eyesore, and it was kinda hard to believe that Govinda also had another sexy lady, Lara Dutta, eating out of his hands. These were two pairs NOT made in heaven!

Couple #3: Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan – Tum Mile
Um…a smart woman and a serial killer…sure, now there’s a hot couple for you! SIKE! Their on-screen chemistry was as exciting as a dead dog…no pun intended…or was it?

Couple #4: Salman Khan and Kareena – Main Aur Mrs Khanna
They don’t look good together in real life nor on screen. The movie sucked and so did this couple. The lead couple was, in nicest terms, completely mismatched. The intensity of the ‘romance’ between Salman and Kareena was completely and utterly wasted, and the poor direction simply added to the disaster.

Couple #5: Ajay Devgan and Asin – London Dreams
The movie was a flop – does that say enough? No? Ok…Ajay barely acted (for lack of a more suitable word) in the entire movie, leave alone his awkward pairing with Asin, and you have a FLOP! Sorry Asin only loooks good with Aamir Khan!

Couple #6: Kangana Ranaut and Adhayan Suman – Raaz–The Mystery Continues
There’s no mystery with this on-screen couple. Kangana is a good actress, while Adhayan showed improvement from his last debacle, Haal-E-Dil, but this was yet again a case of a real life couple failing to make any splash on screen. I’ve seen dead fish having better chemistry between them.

Couple #7: Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone – Chandni Chowk To China
This on-screen couple was just absurd. That’s really all I can say…really, it’s not worth my energy!

Bollywood Couples

Hollywood has a big trend in naming celeb couples with merged names. If we did that in Bollywood, we would have some really funky sounding names for talked about couples. We took it upon ourselves to come up with some celeb couple names- just for fun:

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor: Saifeena

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu: Jo-Pasha

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai: Abhiwarya

Hrithik and Suzzane Roshan: Suzik

Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia: Merjun

Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan: Shahri

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar: Sharan

Dino Morea and Kangana Ranaut: Kangno

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif: Though the couple is speculated to be broken up, we can still refer to them as Salrina; and since Salman is spending plenty of time with his Veer co-star/Katrina replacement Zarine Khan, we can refer to them as Zarman.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone: Yes, they are broken up…. but we can always hope that Ranbika unites again- they look cute together!

My Name is Khan has become a super-hit film across the world. And the tag line is, My Name is Khan and I’m not a terrorist…. So I decided to take things into my own hands and think of what other people in Bollywood would say if they followed along the lines of Shahrukh Khan! “My Name is _____  and I’m not a _____.” This is what I came up with…
