It seems as though Sajid Khan has done it again, the Bollywood film maker has made another successful comedy. ‘Housefull’ is a hilarious romantic comedy and the audiences seem to be loving it.

The movie boasts an all-star cast including: Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, and Jiah Khan. Akshay alone is a huge Bollywood name to have on the cast list, but the teaming of those three lovely ladies is absolutely genius.

The movie depicts Akshay as one of the most unlucky people in the world. Throughout the movie Akshay continues to build upon lies in hopes to find his true love, however the lies and stories just turn into confusion and some absolutely hilarious moments. The flick does have it’s share of “mushy” moments, but that is just part of the ‘romantic-comedy’ formula.

Riteish Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal also provide pivotal supporting roles, and add to much of the comedy and confusion that surrounds the story line. The movie is truly full of stars, surprises, and laughs!

Housefull – Theatrical Promo

The film is about a man named Arush (Akshay Kumar) who gets caught in crazy situations all because he has a deep dark secret; he has three wives. His first wife Sandy (Deepika Padukone) has always wanted to be in love, but thinks it only happens in fairy tales. His second wife Heetal (Lara Dutta) loves her husband so much that she feels as if she is living a fairy tale, and Devika (Jiah Khan) is a simple old fashioned small town girl. Nobody knows about it, except Bob (Riteish Deshmukh), Arush’s best friend ever, they declare themselves as brothers, but Arush and Bob are in big trouble – all of Arushs wive’s say that they wanna move in with Arush. So they all live in one house, but Arush and Bob have to make sure that none of the girls find out the truth about Arush, which is a quite impossible task. But Sandy finds out and tells everything to her big brother Krishna (Arjun Rampal), and then Krishna goes to Arush and finishes his whole game.

Hollywood has a big trend in naming celeb couples with merged names. If we did that in Bollywood, we would have some really funky sounding names for talked about couples. We took it upon ourselves to come up with some celeb couple names- just for fun:

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor: Saifeena

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu: Jo-Pasha

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai: Abhiwarya

Hrithik and Suzzane Roshan: Suzik

Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia: Merjun

Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan: Shahri

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar: Sharan

Dino Morea and Kangana Ranaut: Kangno

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif: Though the couple is speculated to be broken up, we can still refer to them as Salrina; and since Salman is spending plenty of time with his Veer co-star/Katrina replacement Zarine Khan, we can refer to them as Zarman.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone: Yes, they are broken up…. but we can always hope that Ranbika unites again- they look cute together!

Arjun Rampal with Wife, Mehr Jessia

Seems like the media frenzy over Valentine’s Day wasn’t as big in India as it is in the U.S. Most stars thought of Valentine’s Day as any other- with the age old “Every day is Valentine’s Day” excuse.

New couples got festive on V-day:

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor spent the holiday in Europe. Kareena shot an advertisement in Paris, and then the couple spent the big day in another European country, undisclosed to media.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty spent their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple out of town as well. Raj was planning to surprise Shilpa, and kept the weekend plans hush hush from the media and Shilpa. She had guessed Dubai, but the couple spent the weekend in London.

Others treated it as any other day:

Abhishek Bachchan tended to his ill wife Ashwarya Rai Bachchan. The actress had been batting a severe throat infection for the past week.

Arjun Rampal worked- he participated in a fashion show in Kolkata for designers Jaya Mishra, Devarun, and Tanjim who are behind the urban clothing brand Dhaka. I’m sure his wife Mehr Jessia had her own thoughts on his decision to work that night…
