Ranbir Kapoor has been around the Bollywood scene long enough to know that staying relevant in the industry takes extra work and making people believe the characters being portrayed.

Maybe that is why Ranbir is going above and beyond as he prepares for his next film, ‘Rockstar’. His character is a mega-fan of a huge rock-n-roll legend, so Ranbir has been studying the music for the film in AR Rahman’s studio in order to be more in touch with his character.

Rahman is the music composer for the film, so it became an obvious fit for Ranbir to go to him for assistance. Imtiaz Ali will be directing the film and helped link the two together so that Ranbir could go that extra step in becoming perfect.  It will be exciting to see how rock-n-roll Ranbir can get!

AR Rahman’s daughter, Raheema, was admitted to the hospital due to recent cardiac complications. Rahman has understandably put all work on hold as he stays by the side of his child, who happens to be recovering well.

The musician has been in the hospital with his daughter for the past three days and is just happy that she is going to get better. “God has been kind and Raheema is recovering fast,” announced Rahman. We all extend our best wishes to young Raheema, and look forward to Rahman’s return to the studio.   

Rahman is one of the world’s top selling artist of all time, and has seen a lot of success in his career. The musician can boast about his 14 filmfare awards, and even his pairs of grammys and academy awards. Even with all of his success it is good to see that the man has his priorities straight, and has decided focus his attention on his little girl and not on work.  “For the past three nights I have exclusively been playing the role of a loving father, with no music, nothing,” Rahman explained.

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most successful stars in Bollywood brings with itself loads of accolades and awards. This time Shah Rukh Khan finds himself in the august company of former Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Oscar winning composer AR Rahman. The trio has been included in the list of ‘The 500 most influential Muslims in the world’ released by Georgetown University, USA.

The actor has been included in the ‘Arts and Culture’ segment of the list and has been lauded for “campaigning for better relations between India’s Muslim and Hindu communities”. The King Khan, though respectful of the honour, has no qualms in calling himself an Indian first. A mark of a true star, indeed!
