If recent reports of Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan moving past their old rival ways were ever in doubt; sources now suggest that the two will team up and act alongside one another in Karan Johar’s next film.

The trio have been spotted having dinner and drinks in London over the past few days, and Karan enjoyed a private screening of Aamir’s latest film, ‘Peepli Live’, courtesy of Aamir himself. So it seems that the eventual teaming of the three was inevitable.

It wasn’t too long ago that fans would have never dreamed of seeing SRK and Aamir in the same movie together. The two star actors have always been each other’s biggest competition, but leave it to the abstract mind of Karan to find a way to make the tandem work.

Karan is the mastermind behind the pairing of the two on screen and with his edgy and original films; the idea of the pair working well together seems completely possible.

In all aspects of entertainment, whether it is sports or acting, there are always going to be intense rivalries. One of Bollywood’s most famous set of rivals has to be Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

From the beginning of their careers to the present the two actors have been in competition with each other usually over the same roles. SRK has become the bigger name when it came to leading actors, but Aamir has established a bit of a name for himself as a director/producer as well.

Reports are now suggesting that the duo met up in London recently and ejoyed eachother’s company over dinner and drinks. They were joined by Karan Johar and Gauri Khan, and it seemed like all four were getting along very well.

Karan, Gauri, and SRK were also invited to a private showing of Aamir’s latest success ‘Peepli Live’, so it seems that all hard feelings are forgiven.

Amir Khan seems to be pretty full of himself lately, however, it seems that fans and audiences would argue that he deserves to be a bit cocky.

Reports quoted Aamir explaining, “I only like my movies, which are universal like `3 Idiots`, `Lagaan` or `Tare Zameen Par`. Other people do not believe in making anymore films which are universal.”

If that wasn’t enough, it now seems that the actor has made another universal and mind-challenging film in ’Peepli Live’.  Fellow film maker Karan Johar expressed his pleasure with the film when he tweeted, “Just saw PEEPLI LIVE..an outstanding and alive slice of cinema..ironic,humorous,reflective and genius!! Makes you think and rethink.BRAVO!!”

And Aamir has an extremely busy schedule with the release of the movie as he will be traveling nearly all around the world. “In London now. Travelling to LA, NY, Dubai and Australia for Peepli interviews and promotions,” announced Aamir on Twitter today. It seems that he truly does deserve a pat on the back!

John Abraham has been considered to be a second-rate male lead, and easily gets lost in a pool of talent when comparing him to some of Bollywood’s most relevant lead men. Despite his efforts to make himself available for new movies it seems that directors tend to over look John for actors such as Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan.

John’s long-time lover, Bipasha Basu thinks that his lack of success is steming from a lack of good exposure and publicity; and Bipasha recently vowed to help John jump start his career. And it now seems that John has taken his better-half’s advice and has decided to be in charge of all aspects that pertain to his up coming film, ‘Call Me…Dil’.

John has decided that the strategies used by Bollywood veteran Aamir Khan were the best way to boost his reputation. Therefore, John will mainly be over looking the promotional aspects of the film (i.e. publicity stills and posters).

It probably wouldn’t hurt John to let Bipasha have a say in what does or does not look good, because she always seems to know what looks good for her!

Kareena Kapoor Loses Dream Role Because of Ranbir

Kareena Kapoor who has become every directors dream come true had to sacrifice the role of a lifetime because of Bollywoods newest hotty, none other then cousin Ranbir Kapoor. The dream role was for UTV’s upcoming biopic film on Kishore Kumar in which Kareena was all set to play the classic Madhubala.

The role of the male lead however went through quite a few ups and downs. The role of the legendary singer-actor-filmmaker was first offered to Aamir Khan a few years back who declined. It was then handed to Shahrukh Khan and unfortunately things didn’t work out with King Khan either. Finally, UTV and director Anurag Basu approached Ranbir for the role who obviously accepted with arms wide open.

Once Kareena found out that she was going to be romantically paired with her cousin, she of course rejected the offer. Although Ranbir is smiling from ear to ear, Bebo darling isn’t very amused. We’re sure this incident will create some turmoil between the two Kapoors, but for now the bigger question remains…who will play the beautiful Madhubala? Katrina, Priyanka, or Deepika?? Haha we’re certain Ranbir’s smile just got a little bigger.

Aamir Khan had originally announced that he would not be celebrating his 45 birthday, which took place on March 14th. However, the actor showed a true touch of class when he allowed fans as well as members of the media join in his small celebration.

Aamir should be an example to the rest of the celebrity population on how to be a gracious for the support that so many people give. 

Yes, we all understand that many of these celebs can rent out clubs and throw lavish and exclusive parties, but to actually allow fans to be there in a relaively intimate setting is truely exceptional.

The people have spoke, and they don’t care about Shiv Sena, politics or Shah Rukh Khan’s comments about the IPL. Let this message go to everyone who tries to get into the way of Bollywood and the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar. Indians do not live in a country where politicians can oppress and dictate the people. The people of Mumbai and around the world have spoken and overwhelming have made My Name Is Khan a super blockbuster. I haven’t seen the movie but people have either been saying good things or bad things about it.

On the opening day less than 100 members of Shiv Sena were arrested in Mumbai for attempting to disrupt and vandalize theaters that were showing the film. Elsewhere in India there were protests and some cities in Rajasthan including Pune didn’t know show the film due to threat of violence from right wing politicalgroups. Estimates by Fox show that film will rake in about 10 million dollars worldwide this weekend, and will be known as the biggest Bollywood opening to date.

It looks like Aamir Khan better bring out his A-game to pull an upset on My Name Is Khan. With the other big blockbuster Kites looking like it will be delayed till May indefinitely, My Name Is Khan is set to dominate the Indian box office in the upcoming months.

Congrats to Shah Rukh Khan and the rest of the My Name Is Khan team in creating a cinematic blockbuster!

Aamir Khan’s father passed away last night at Aamir’s residence in Bandra.Tahir Hussain passed away last night from a heart attack, he was 72 years old. Aamir currently is on his way back to India, he found out the news while at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. To get back to his family even quicker, he is chartering a plane from Hong Kong to Mumbai… Such sad news after Aamir was riding on the success of 3 Idiots.

Tahir was a known Bollywood film producer and produced and launched Aamir’s career.

“3 Idiots” was a smash hit across the world; with comments like ‘paisa vasool’ and ‘double paisa vasool’ it’s become obvious that everyone instantly loves the movie after seeing it.

Though the movie was a hit, there was a little blooper that I thought I’d share with all of you

Mona Singh plays Kareena Kapoor’s elder sister in the movie. She is referred to as “Poonam” at the start of the movie by her on-screen father Boman Irani. But in the dramatic sequence when Mona is delivering a baby being assisted by Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and Madhavan call her “Mona..”

I wonder how they didn’t catch this during editing!

The 4th Khan has been hiding in the shadows since his Karan Johar’s film Kurbaan bombed at the box office, and the acting offers started to dry up fast. All the Khans are having success recently, and 2010 looks better with Aamir riding high after 3 Idiots, SRK coming up with My Name is Khan and Salman with his epic thriller Veer coming up, Saif must be trying to muster something to match his fellow Khans. Even his favorite director/friends like Siddharth Anand and Imtiaz Ali looked away and quickly signed Ranbir to the play the male lead role in their next films. Saif decided to take it into his own hands and has pushed Agent Vinod which had been in limbo into production in 2010. He must be really bored now that he has nothing to do except keep his girlfriend company. To spend more time with his gf  he has asked her to be the main lead in his home production and plans to kick off production as soon as she becomes available.

Aamir Khan Denied Cadet Visit By Ministry of Defense

Well Aamir after all you made Rang De Basanti which called out the lax practices of the Indian Air Force which lead to the death many of pilots due to the operation of ancient MIG aircraft that were unfit for duty. After all more than 150 of India’s MiG fighter aircraft have crashed in the last ten years, giving the jets the nickname “flying coffin.” Since the release and public dissaproval these aircraft are being phased out rapidly for replacement by the latest Russian Technology which in the future will be used in conflict against China and Pakistan. Aamir Khan known for his generosity and humane behavior was appalled at the decision. The past few weeks he has been involved with a radical new way of marketing his new film 3 Idiots and has been taking a grass roots approach which has been receiving lots of press. Look to Aamir to mix it up and get out there with the people.

Well it turns out Aamir had asked for permission to spend a day with the Indian Army’s cadets at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu but was denied for no reasons stated by Ministry of Defense. Maybe hes doing some research for an upcoming role, or maybe he was planning on thanking these jawans for their service to their country. Anyways this is the Jagerbomber and I am out!
